ADULT LEARNING FIRST STEPS
IN HEALTH AWARENESS
January 2012 Courses

Part of North Yorkshire County Council’s Adult Learning and Skills Service, the following courses will be available at Skipton Youth and Community Centre:
Tuesday 24th January 2012 9.30 — 12.30
Dementia Awareness Fee £10.00
Wednesday 25th January 2012 9.30 — 12.30
Mood and Food (You are what you eat) Fee £10.00
Thursday 26th January 2012 6.00 — 9.00 pm
Mental Health Awareness Fee £10.00

Courses will be free to people on JSA or ESA Employment. Unemployed people on other benefits may qualify for free courses.

Volunteering Information Days at Craven College
Craven Volunteer Centre is organising 4 Information Days in partnership with Craven College for its students during February: 21st February Aire Block site 11.30 – 1.30; 23rd February Auction Mart Site 11.30 – 1.30; 28th February Auction Mart Site 11.30 – 1.30 and 1st March Aire Block Site 11.30 – 1.30. A host of charities and volunteer-involving groups will be attending on these days to give out information to students and tutors at the College, including FallFest, Oxfam, NY Credit Union, British Waterways, Riding for the Disabled, Pioneer Projects, Grassington Players, Barnardos, Beamsley Project, Drystone Radio, Alzheimer’s Society and Skipton in Bloom.

Ermysted’s Big Band Concert
Ermysted’s Big Band will be playing their usual mix of swing and popular music on Saturday 21st April 2012 at Christ Church, Skipton, raising funds for Craven Volunteer Centre. More details to follow.
