“On Yer Bike - Mrs
Heaton!”
In June of this year our very own Annie Heaton, Support
Assistant for the Good Neighbour and Home From Hospital
schemes, will be pulling on her padded shorts and setting
off on her bike from Tynemouth to Edinburgh. This is known
as the Castle to Castle Bike Ride: and she will be doing
this in an effort to raise money for the Volunteer Centre.
The route will see Annie and her husband, Tim, cycle a
total of 200 miles. She hopes to be able to do this over
four or five days.
The Volunteer Centre relies heavily on grants and donations:
and support of this kind is always needed to sustain our
services.
If you would like to sponsor Annie, then please give us
a call at the Volunteer Centre: 01756 701648.
We look forward to hearing from you and THANK YOU
for your support.
Volunteer Centre gains Quality Accreditation
We are pleased to report that Craven Volunteer Centre has
once again been successful in gaining Quality Accreditation

of evidence every three years to prove our competence in
the six core functions of a Volunteer Centre: Brokerage;
Marketing; Volunteering; Good Practice Development; Developing
Volunteering Opportunities; Policy Response and Campaigning
and Strategic Development of Volunteering.
