from and to the Craven area within a small gathering of
volunteers who wish to promote and help improve services
for people with dementia across Yorkshire.
RSPB
Residential Volunteering Scheme
The RSPB can offer placements as a volunteer warden for
up to 4 weeks on one of 37 nature reserves throughout the
UK. Longer periods of work placement are available by arrangement

Other volunteering opportunities with the RSPB are also
available, such as monitoring nature reserves or joining
with local farmers to survey the birds on their farm. If
the idea of donning boots and binoculars is not for you,
there are many opportunities in the RSPB offices around
the UK. Alternatively, many activities can be carried out
from the comfort of your own home.

a special needs school supporting people with learning difficulties
in a day centre enabling a disabled person to live independently
in their own home helping in the running of a homeless shelter,
mentoring a young person at risk of offending or being excluded
from school
Volunteers are also needed to support students with disabilities
at UK universities, helping with tasks such as taking lecture
notes, helping students get out socially or providing support
with household tasks, personal care etc
Volunteers move away from home and are provided with accommodation,
training and support, along with money to live on and the
opportunity to be part of a big team of volunteers across
the UK.

skills, enhance job or UCAS applications, build confidence
and make a real difference to someone’s life.
